Services Apps & Systems

Apps and systems

Mobile apps, web apps and internal management systems built around how the company works, to simplify the day to day and grow with the business.

What it covers

Mobile apps

Android and iOS, for the things a native app is genuinely better at. Reliable notifications, offline use, background location and access to hardware such as NFC and biometrics.

Web apps

Software that runs in the browser, the same on any device and always up to date, with no stores and no installs.

Internal management systems

Orders, stock, bookings, invoicing: all centralised and connected in the same application, so the business is run from one place, faster and better organised.

How we work

01 Map the process

We spend time understanding how the work is done today, so we get the real requirements.

02 Smallest useful scope

We define the smallest version that already solves the problem. It costs less, arrives sooner and teaches us what to build next.

03 Short cycles

Regular releases you can actually try, instead of months of silence followed by a surprise.

04 Adoption

Internal software nobody uses is money thrown away. So, especially in the early stage, we follow how the team takes it up.

When it makes sense to work together

It makes sense if
  • The way the company works is an advantage and deserves software built around it.
  • There is enough operation for the system to save time and bring order to the business.
  • There is someone on the company side following the project and taking part in decisions.
We are probably not the right fit if
  • There is software on the market that already covers everything you need.
  • You insist on keeping the code and running the system yourself: our model is to keep it running for you.

Frequently asked questions

Is custom worth it instead of buying off-the-shelf software?

Not always, and we say so. If there is a product on the market that covers everything you need, it does not pay off. Custom development pays off when the ready-made tool forces you to change how you work, when the cost does not match the value it returns, or when the process itself is the competitive advantage.

Native app or web app?

First we understand what the product needs. If a web app is enough, that is what we recommend: it costs less and avoids the stores. Native makes sense when what sets it apart is actually needed.

Do we get locked in to Azulee?

The code is ours and stays on our side, because this is a service we keep running for you, not a product that is handed over and ends. What belongs to the company always stays with the company: your data is yours and goes with you if one day you take another path.

How much does an application cost?

It depends a great deal on the application, and an estimate only makes sense once we know the project. In a first stage we cut the scope down to the smallest useful version and quote that, which usually comes in well below what people expected.

Who maintains the system once it is running?

We do. Since the code stays on our side, it is on us to keep it running, fix what comes up and follow the changes in the company. We make small adjustments, usually at no cost; new features are quoted separately.
